NM Academy of Family Physicians

I have so much respect for my family medicine colleagues who are truly the stewards of health. It was an honor to speak at this conference. I always want to have interactions with the audience and listen to what they have to say, but the downside is not knowing if anyone would want to speak to the questions I ask, as they are usually more personal than the usual medical conference interactions. I was so happy that so many spoke up about what they are struggling with and how they are working through these struggles. There was a sense of solidarity in the room even though it’s not easy out there. We need each other more than ever.
